December 13, 2025 - Chris White, A Charlie Brown Christmas Trio

On a blustery, cold Saturday afternoon, December 13th, the Chicago Public Library – West Lawn Branch welcomed neighbors and friends for a Chicago Artopia–hosted holiday gathering. Despite the winter weather, we were grateful for the wonderful turnout and the shared sense of community inside the library.

The afternoon featured Chris White’s A Charlie Brown Christmas Jazz Trio, celebrating the timeless music of Vince Guaraldi. His warm, gentle jazz melodies—playful yet reflective—carry a deep sense of nostalgia, instantly evoking childhood memories and holiday traditions. As the music filled the room, it brought strangers together, creating a shared moment of connection.

We were also honored to be joined by Hubbard High School’s Honor Choir, whose beautiful voices helped spread Christmas cheer. Sincere thanks to their Choir Director, Sharon Quattrin, for sharing their talents with our community.

A festive holiday raffle featuring Peanuts memorabilia added to the joy, along with gift certificates and merchandise generously donated by local businesses. Heartfelt thanks to Cracked Egg, A Cup of Joe Coffee House, and Twisted Shamrock Pub for their support.

At the end of the performance, all were invited to stay and enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, and mini conchas—a small thank-you for braving the cold and spending the afternoon together.
