This day felt extra special as our 2024–2025 concert series came to a close. After a week of wild weather—from dust storms to heavy rain and tornado warnings—the community came together to unwind and reconnect through the comforting sounds of live jazz.

Local musician and Garfield Ridge neighbor Tom Lowery brought his jazz trio to our corner of the city for an afternoon filled with upbeat, soulful music. As he shared during the performance, it meant a lot to play in this part of the city he calls home—where events like this don’t happen nearly as often as they do on the North Side or downtown.

His words—and his music—truly resonated with concertgoers. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday: surrounded by community, good vibes, and beautiful music that made everyone feel right at home.
