November 1, 2026 - A Quiet Afternoon, A Timeless Musical Journey.

Chicago Artopia was delighted to welcome Brazilian pianist Ervino Rieger for an afternoon of classical music on Sunday, November 1st, at the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture. On a pleasant November afternoon, guests gathered to enjoy an engaging program of piano music in the warm and intimate setting of the museum.

Through his expressive playing and thoughtful interpretations, Ervino brought each composition to life, guiding the audience through a program of works by composers whose music continues to resonate across generations. The performance featured the elegance and lyricism of Hommage à Chopin, including Nocturne and Balada, alongside compositions by Heitor Villa-Lobos and Enrique Granados.

The program concluded with Frédéric Chopin’s 24 Preludes, Op. 28, a collection that offered a variety of musical moods and expressions. Each prelude revealed a different musical character, bringing the afternoon to a fitting close and highlighting the richness of the piano repertoire.

Chicago Artopia extends its sincere gratitude to Ervino Rieger for sharing his artistry and to everyone who joined us at the Balzekas Museum.
