An Tran brings a distinctive voice to the classical guitar, bridging classical tradition, cultural heritage, and contemporary music through expressive performances that celebrate connection and collaboration. Inspired by his album Ilumina—meaning “to illuminate”—this program explores music as a source of light, connection, and discovery.
With Ilumina, Tran presents twelve world premiere works written especially for him by an international group of composers. Blending intimate lyricism, rhythmic vitality, and folkloric inspiration, the album celebrates the expressive possibilities of the classical guitar and its evolving place in contemporary music.
